De ezzel hogy lehet egy hosszú vízszintes vonalat húzni?
A csigásvonalzó végigéri a rajzasztalt. Vagy át lehet állítani?

Pontosítsunk, ez egy állványos dönthető, forgatható rajztábla, koordináta rajzgéppel. :-))
Ez volt talán a Reiss cég csúcsmodellje, a központi láb és a forgathatóság miatt. De ma már retro.
Ami pedig a hosszú egyenes vonalat illeti, azt csak több lépésben lehetett vele húzni. Bár megoldható: rögzíteni kell a függőleges mozgását a vonalzóknak, és a ceruzát a vonalzóra helyezve az egészet vízszintesen elmozdítod vonalzóval együtt. :-))
Ezeknek a koordináta gépeknek az volt a nagy hátránya, hogy a rajzlap bal oldalát nem lehetett kihasználni. Ellentétben a régebbi ellensúlyos gépekkel.

Hát ez az, a jól karbantartott csigásat csak meg kell pöccinteni, és suhan :)A vízszintesen, vagy hosszú egyenesen gondolkodtam ám, de nem akartam körbeírni . Te azért értetted :)

Arra a régebbi ellensúlyos gépre gondoltam a csigás kommenteknél.

Csuby, köszönöm a szakszerű megnevezést és az összes kiegészítést. Én magam soha nem használtam ezt az eszközt, illetve ehhez hasonlót sem.
Hát sokkal retróbb, mint amit néhányan ide feltöltetnek. Apukám vállalatánál a 80-as évek elején játszottam ilyennel.
Szép darab, nekem is van csak az A3-as méretű de ugyanaz a gyártó ROBOTRON.
A mai világban inkább a számítógépes CAD rendszerek az elterjedtek, könnyen plotterrel ki lehet nyomtatni aki meg 3D-ben szeretné az sem jelent gondot a www.objet.com álltal gyártott készülékeknek.
Megborzongtam, mikor megláttam ezt a képet. Bevallom nincsenek jó emlékeim ezekről a szerkezetekről. Az viszont igaz, hogy amin nekem kellett dolgoznom a nyolcvanas évek legvégén, az hátul ellensúlyokkal rendelkezett. Emlékeim szerint valami budapesti intézmény "J" épületének, talán a II. emeletén, töltöttem néhány sorstársammal együtt komplex "rajzheteket" mikoris egyéb előadásokra nem kellett ugyan járnunk, de éjjel-nappal rajzolni annál inkább szükségeltetett.... Az érzés a kódexírókéval volt azonos akkoriban:-)
Ez csak a BME-n lehetett, de mik voltak a "rajzhetek" ?
A rajzheteken egyéb előadásokra nem kellett járni, hanem egyéni időbeosztás alapján egy hét alatt kellett a kiadott rajzfeladatot megoldani. Röviden ennyi. Volt, aki minden nap rajzolt egy pár órát, de volt, aki napokig semmit, majd az utolsó napokon éjjel-nappal. A műszaki rajzok jelentős része méretezett ábra. Mivel az én kézírásom nem valami esztétikus (nincs türelmem a feliratozáshoz) az érdemjegy eggyel-kettővel rosszabb lett, mint amit a rajz ért volna. Az autoCAD nekem megváltás volt...
